Who Will Win the Super Bowl? (2 minute read)

The end of the season is just around the corner, and there are plenty of teams fighting to clinch playoff positions. What makes the NFL playoffs one of the greatest spectacles in sports is that it is a one-game elimination. This creates a belief amongst every playoff-bound team that if they make it, then they have a chance. All the teams currently in contention to make the playoffs have shown potential, but are they all championship material? There are two teams that I would put my money on at this point in the season. The 49ers, and the Ravens…

1. The 49ers

You look up and down this roster, and one word comes to mind. Stacked! They have little to no weaknesses and have been led on the offensive side by two MVP candidates, Brock Purdy and Christian McCaffrey. Just the fact that that is your Quarterback/Running Back duo and you have other players such as Geroge Kittle, Deebo Samuel and Brandon Aiyuk as other options is truly absurd. If, for some reason, that offence is working, this team is backed with debatable the best defence assembled in recent years. Bosa, Armstead, Young, Hargrave, Ward…There are just too many playmakers to name. This team has a chance to win it all in a dominating fashion.

2. The Ravens

The Ravens remain one of the hottest teams in football, and Lamar Jackson has proven once again that he is one of a kind at the Quarterback position. He leads his team in both passing and rushing categories and has been accompanied by the touchdown machine Gus Edwards, who looks undeniable at the goal line. Unfortunately, Lamar’s favourite aerial threat, Mark Andrews, went down with an injury, but wide receivers Odell Beckham Jr. and Zay Flowers have picked up the slack. This team has also been sound on defence, and Justin Madubuike's emergence only makes them scarier.

What teams could surprise a few or never should be counted out? It is almost impossible to count out both the Eagles and Kansas City Chiefs, but you can’t help but notice that they haven’t been playing to the same level of consistency displayed earlier this year and last year. The Eagles still have their fair share of firepower at all positions, but those two bad losses to the 49ers and Cowboys might have people second-guessing them. Regarding the Chiefs, the main question is, does Patty Mahomes have enough help? It will take all of Patrick Mahomes’ strength to get this team deep into the playoffs, but if there is someone who can lead his team all the way, it is him.
