At this moment of the NFL season, it looks like nobody can compete with the Baltimore Ravens.
This team has gotten hot at the right time and will look to carry their momentum as the season winds down and we get ready for playoff football.
The Ravens are dominating teams ,and not just any teams, their last two blowout wins have come against two teams that are leading their respective divisions. A couple weeks back we saw them dismantle a 49er team that seemed to have put it all together. They forced four interceptions from MVP frontrunner Brock Purdy while his Quarterback counterpart Lamar Jackson looked untouchable throughout the game. That being said, I do believe these teams will see eachother again down the road for a rematch and the only way they would happen would be at the Super Bowl.
To follow up that win against the 49ers, the Ravens followed up with a lopsided victory against the AFC East leading Dolphins. To put up 56 points against anytime in the NFL is crazy but to do it against one of the best teams in football is straight up ridiculous. To put it simply; They are BALLIN!
There are two players that continue to really stand out for this team. Obviously Lamar Jackson is playing at an MVP level but on the defensive side Justin Madubuike continues his strong form of play on the frontline of this defense.
Madubuike leads all NFL Defensive Tackles in sacks and has been an absolute nightmare for opposing offenses all year. Back to Lamar, there was obvious concern when his favorite target Mark Andrews was injured earlier this season but Jackson has not broken stride. Is there really anyone else that could take the MVP award away from him at this point? He continues to control the game with his dual threat ability to run and pass at a high level and he is sharing the ball on offense. Rookie Zay Flowers seems to be a great fit for this offense and veteran Odell Beckham Jr. has shown flashes of his playmaking ability.
At the end of the day, this team is a force to be reckoned with gamechangers all over the field on both sides of the ball. Look for them to keep the momentum alive as we head into playoffs.
