Anything goes when it comes to playoffs, so those teams that just scraped by feel like they have a legitimate chance at hoisting the Lombardi trophy when all is said and done. My two favorites right now are the Ravens and the 49ers to meet in the Super Bowl, but there are some teams that people should keep an eye on.
Bills: Going into the playoffs, the Bills are the hottest team in football, winning their last five games and dramatically winning the AFC East division. This team's success depends on Josh Allen's performance, but their defence has stepped up to finish the year. Going into the season, many skeptics said this team did not do enough to bolster their defence and then, with the loss of Tre'Davious White and Matt Milano, things started to look bleak. This team has figured it out with young players like Terrel Bernard and Tyrel Dodson coming into their own, and an under-the-radar pickup of Rasul Douglas has helped make this Defense again one of the most feared in the league. The Bills have gotten hot at the right time, so let's see if they can carry their momentum deep into the playoffs.
Browns: This was a team that many people had written off early in the year, but they have bounced back to become one of the greatest stories in the NFL. When Joe Flacco took over, I think only a few people thought this team would be making the noise it is making now. The former Super Bowl MVP and Champion has breathed some new life into this franchise, and he is backed by a defence that has played some great football almost all year. They are primed for a magical run, and of course, Flacco has won it all before. If they could beat the Texans and upset the Ravens in the second round, they could be the team that blows the playoffs wide open.
