This is the last of the NBA Las Vegas Summer League Series. This may not be the comedy show that Devonte Graham or a controversial episode like Bruce Brown, but this was one of Theo’s gems. During the COVID season, Jared Harper shared a New York Knicks uniform with Theo back in 2020-2021. The two instantly bonded and helped each other through a year filled with many DNPs and laughter.
Jared is from Mableton, Georgia and not by any means the typical size of your stereotypical NBA player. Standing at 5’10, he had to fight for everything possible, including his scholarship to Auburn to play under legendary coach Bruce Pearl. Before he got there, he played in two state championships with crushing debates (one including a concussion) and winning the EYBL championship against Jayson Tatum and the MVP for the game.
Playing for the New York Knicks, New Orleans Pelicans, and Phoenix Suns has led him to play for Valencia in the Euroleague overseas. He compares the atmosphere of the Euroleague to a collegiate atmosphere with fans that go crazy and support their team to the fullest. He even talks about some hilarious times with RJ Barrett and weighs in on Brandon Ingram and Zion Williamson.
But as per usual, Theo does his thing to energize and bring this conversation to a place where you don’t want to miss out.
