Since the start of the Tidal League Media Network, I have been silently awaiting content and collaborators that take us away from sports. Don’t get me wrong, I love sports - I’ll keep lobbying for us to sign an MLB star (preferably a Toronto Blue Jay) until my last breath – but my main interests have always been in the creative spaces, so I was extremely excited to hear about Arturo Holmes joining the network and bringing with him a show about positivity and creativity in “Shoot Your Shot”.
If you don’t know Arturo’s name, that’s ok, because guaranteed you know his work. From the red carpets of the Oscars, the steps at the Met Gala, the runways of Fashion Week, to on the field at the Super Bowl, Arturo is the one all celebrities want to be behind the camera capturing those highly curated moments in the most natural way – and to think, he almost became a lawyer. In this first episode, Arturo gets into the story behind the story, and how he ended up on his current path.
There are many people, me included that didn’t have the opportunity, or weren’t willing to take the risks associated with following a dream. Arturo shines the light on what that really felt like, what drove him, and what continued to motivate him when all signs pointed against.
This will be a show about positivity, about what happens when you choose passion over practicality, and the journeys of those individuals he has met along the way. Arturo wants “Shoot Your Shot” to be a resource, but more importantly a positive force.
Come see what it’s like on this side of the lens, and shoot your shot with him each episode.
